Fun with Letter "M"

I enjoyed meeting with each of you on Friday for our conferences.  Thanks to all of you for taking time from your busy schedules to come.  It is always nice to share with you some of the things that we are doing in K4, and how your child is progressing.  Another big THANK YOU to those of you who are helping prepare things for our Culture Study.  There is much cutting and laminating to do...thanks!!!  We had fun this week with the letter "M".  As you can see in the pictures, we made Mickey/Minnie Mouse hats.  We also enjoyed m&m math.  What a yummy way to learn about sorting and graphing!  I'm looking forward to a full week of fun and learning in K4.  Remember, Monday is a regular school day.  No Halloween costumes please.

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch!  There were so many fun activities...the hayride to the pumpkin field, the pig race, petting zoo, inflatables, cow train, playground, corn box, and a picnic.  It was a fun-filled day, and the weather was perfect!  Thanks to all the parents who drove and chaperoned for the trip.  We have another busy week with homecoming being this week.  Each day is a different "dress up" day.  The week will start with a pep rally on Monday.  There will be a parade and picnic on Friday followed by an early dismissal.  I'm looking forward to a great week.  Go Wildcats!!!

Our 2nd Grade "Buddies"

This week our K4 class "buddied up" with Mrs. Jeffcoat's second graders.  They read stories to us.  It was great!  I think they enjoyed it just as much as we did.  We plan to do this regularly with Mrs. Jeffcoat's second graders.  We've had more fun with apples this week.  We have also enjoyed making many different kinds of patterns.  Bubba Bear went home with one of our students for the first time this weekend.   Everyone will eventually get a turn to bring Bubba Bear home for the weekend.  I will send him in his special bag along with our Bubba Bear scrapbook.  Please record all the things that your family does with him...pictures are great!
We are all looking forward to our field trip to the pumpkin patch on Friday.  A big thanks to all of you who are driving!  It should be lots of fun.  Students should wear jeans and tennis shoes along with their Trinity t-shirt.  Homecoming is also coming up very soon (Fri. Oct. 21).  I have put the link to the homecoming info on our blog.  Please check it out and let me know if you have any questions.  I hope that everyone got the lunch order form that was sent home on Friday.  Following lunch that day, school will dismiss.  Homecoming day is a half day.  I'm looking forward to a fun-filled week of learning!
